Full of Surprises!
I’ve gotta say, I feel like a proud mama goose. We recently learned Gerald’s Journal has received one of the “most prestigious designations in the book industry,” the Kirkus Star. Each year, Kirkus reviews thousands and thousands of books. Only a small percentage of those receive the star, which is awarded to books of exceptional merit.

“A notably perceptive chapter book that invites empathy and understanding through the words of its engaging young narrator.” ~ Kirkus reviews
Exceptional merit, y’all! I’m not surprised, but I’m so, so proud. So proud of Gerald. So proud of David McElhinny and Teri Firtos. So proud to be a part of Armonia Publishing, which strives to bring positive, uplifting books to the world, which strives to provide joyful support to the special needs community and beyond, which strives to add laughter and love and a whole lot of great books to the pile.

And we’ve got some other great news! The book many of you have been waiting for, have been begging for, is finally here! Charlie the Ninja Werewolf by Armonia’s own Rick M. Green, illustrated by Taylor McMullan is finally for sale on Amazon! Here’s what veteran kid lit author Aaron Gansky had to say about it:
“Charlie the Ninja Werewolf is a whimsical adventure story your boys are sure to love. With fantastic art and a familiar, but strangely fun, story, it’s just right for young readers. It makes me nostalgic for the time I used to read books to my boys each night before bed. This is a series your kids can grow up with.” ~ Aaron D. Gansky Author of The Hand of Adonai Series, Write to Be Heard, Firsts in Fiction: First Lines, and The Bargain
And Adventures in Odyssey writer Christopher P. Maselli had this to say:
“I love superhero stories, and this original story of Charlie the Ninja Werewolf is the perfect kick-off for what’s sure to be an action-filled series by Rick M. Green. The combination of comic book panels in a picture book format make it a great place for young readers to start their adventure. And, of course, the theme of bravery stands the test of time. ArrWooooo!” ~ Christopher Maselli, author of Commander Kellie and the Superkids Adventure Series, The Amazing Laptop series, and more.
And now for my news, which isn’t nearly as impressive, but surprising and life-altering nonetheless, a hooligan-thug-perpetrator recently tried to mug me in my front yard. Yes, it’s true. Don’t worry, I’m fine. You can read more about it here.
Thank you for being a part of the Armonia family. God bless, and have a beautiful day.
